Advanced Driving is about being able to make good progress safely, systematically and smoothly. Advanced Drivers confidently get the most from their car and really enjoy driving. Statistics show that an Advanced Driver is much less likely to be involved in an accident and many motor insurance companies recognise this in their premiums.

Advanced Driving can save you money by reducing your fuel bills and insurance costs (not to mention the expense that accidents incur) but membership of the IAM also gives you access to a wide range  of discounts (Halfords, DIY stores, breakdown cover) as well as driving events.  From a purely financial perspective, it’s easily possible to quickly recover your initial investment but remember that you’ll also have a skill for life that may prove invaluable.
